Apple Crumble
1 apple
Cinnamon (limited amounts)
2 crispbreads

Core, peel and slice apple. Stew in microwave for 2 to 4 minutes. Sprinkle with cinnamon and add crushed crispbreads.

Great on a cold day, instead of cold fruit!

Dianne's Delicious Orange and Mango Sorbet
Mango (allowance)
250 mls of Diet Fanta

Put mango and diet fanta into a food procesor and liquidize. put into a container and freeze (you may want to put it into 2 containers if you have a small food processor)
Once nearly frozen put back into food procesor and blitz it until all smooth.
Serve and enjoy. Yummo
This is so yummy and taste really mangoy. great for making that fruit allowance stretch and to make you feel like your having a gorment desert. great on a summer night.

Dried Apples
1 Apple (allowance)
Dash of Cinnamon

Turn the oven on as low as it will go. Peel and core the apple. Then slice the apple into thin slices or rounds. Place on wire rack in oven. Prop oven door open a bit and heat the apple pieces in the oven for 2-3 hours or until they are dried. Remove from oven and allow to cool. Sprinkle with a dash of cinnamon.

Makes a very yummy snack to take to the movies.

Kiwi & Green Tea Sorbet
* Brew 2 cups of green tea and let cool.
* Peel, then mash your allowance of kiwi fruit with a fork making sure it is not too fine.
* Sweeten green tea to taste with powdered sweetner.
* Add mashed kiwi fruit.
* Pour into a shallow dish and allow to freeze, mixing occasionally to allow the ice to set evenly.
* When frozen, scoop out sorbet and serve in a tall glass with a sprig of mint!

Mango Melon Fruit Salad
90g Paw Paw
90g Honey Dew Melon
50g Mango
(other fruit according to allowance)

Cut or ball melon and mango and combine with any other fruit from allowance. (hint: use 1/4 pieces of fruit to create more variety e.g. 1/4 of an apple, 1/4 nectarine, 1/4 orange or mandarine, 1/4 apricot)

Mango Smoothie
Natural yoghurt (allowance)
1 Mango (150gms)
1/2 - 1 cup Diet Sprite
2 ice cubes

Place all ingredients in blender until smooth.

Stewed Tangy Apples
1 Apple (Allowance)
Dash of cinammon
Half a cup of Diet Lemon Squash

Remove the core and skin then slice the apple in pieces. Place in microwave proof dish and prinkle with cinammon. Pour on the Lemon Squash. Cook in microwave for 7-8 minutes or until apples are tender. Let stand for 5 minutes. (Can be eaten hot or cold).

Also mashed can make a nice topping/sauce for meat dishes.

Sunday Smoothie
1/3 Honey Dew Melon(allowance)
1/3 Paw Paw
1/3 Kiwi fruit
175g Yoghurt
1 cup of Sprite zero

Place in blender and combine until smooth. serve in long glass.

Tony's Apple Crumble
1 medium apple (Pink Lady), 2 regular vita wheat, a sprinkle of cinnamon, all spice and nutmeg to taste.

Peel apple and put peel, spices, sweetner and crispbread into food processor and roughly chop.

Quarter and core apple, slice and put into small souffle dish with 1 tbs water (or diet soft drink)and cloves (optional).

Microwave apple for 50 seconds on high. Spoon crumble mixture on top. Place in meduim oven (170 degrees) for 15 minutes.

Yoghurt Smoothie
Ingrediants:
Yoghurt (allowance)
Paw Paw (allowance)

Method:
Blend yoghurt and fruit with hand held blender to make a delicious smoothie. Quick and easy to drink for brekkie on the run!
Try using mango, nectarine or peach too.
Delicious!
